Wildwood Heritage

Sussex-based Cultural, Natural and Landscape Heritage Projects and Partnerships

Our projects offer exciting opportunities to engage with heritage  for the benefit of individual, communities and the environment.

We want to build a sense of home in this fragmented world, a sense of natural responsibility in our neighbourhoods, and  reframe the context of well-being in nature.

Our projects bring people together to generate positivity and togetherness, rootedness, meaning, focus, joy and a collective responsibility for the world we live in.

What we do

Connecting Communities with Nature and Heritage

Cultural Heritage

From practical archaeology to historic research, our projects create connections between communities and our shared human past.

We discover stories in objects, features and buildings and share them widely, building modern narratives for our times.

Landscape Heritage

Our landscapes define where we live, how our communities have developed and how they can evolve.  They help us discover who we are, they nurture and inspire us.

We provide opportunities to interact with and learn from our local landscapes, to find ways to read them and enhance our innate natural creativities.

Natural Heritage

Our natural ecosystems are unique and extraordinary, and our projects provide opportunities for sustainable wellbeing in these wild environments, while helping us protect and enhance our vital wild spaces.

We promote citizen science, the recording of scientific data for the benefit of all.  Immersing ourselves in nature provides countless benefits, our work promotes this.
